Frequently Asked Questions

IS THERE A COST TO ATTEND A WORKSHOP?

Workshops are free to attend, however an optional donation of $10 is suggested. If you'd like to make a donation to support the Women's Leadership Collaborative's efforts, you may do so on the Eventbrite checkout page.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Casual.

DO I HAVE TO BRING MY PRINTED EVENT TICKET TO THE WORKSHOP?

No. Attendees will check in at the registration table upon arrival where a volunteer will have a printed attendee list.

AAUW offers a free WorkSmart e-course on their website. This free online course will give you the tools you need to successfully negotiate and close the pay gap for women everywhere. Learn more here.

I CANNOT ATTEND A WORKSHOP ON APRIL 2. HOW CAN I BE PART OF THE MOVEMENT?

WHY APRIL 2?

April 2, 2020, will mark the one-year anniversary of the public launch of the Women’s Leadership Collaborative (WLC), a collective of Professional Dimensions, TEMPO Milwaukee and Milwaukee Women inc., formed to address gender disparities as a united front, 1,000 women strong.

CAN MEN ATTEND/PARTICIPATE?

Absolutely! We know that it is not just up to women to close the gender wage gap.

WHAT IS THE CAPACITY PER WORKSHOP?

50 attendees.

I REGISTERED BUT CAN NO LONGER ATTEND.

Please inform the WLC if you can no longer attend so we can release your ticket to someone else.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT AAUW.

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that has been a catalyst for positive change since 1881. In 2018, AAUW announced a bold goal to train 10 million women in salary negotiation as a part of its efforts to close the gender pay gap by 2030 and increase economic security for women and girls across the U.S.  Learn more about the AAUW Milwaukee Branch here.
